Christian, with 35 years of varied aviation experience, combined with his analytical, organizational and communicative skills, can be characterized ‘a generalist’ and if a specialism would apply, Chris is one of SGI’s ‘aircraft inspections and transactions-specialists’, with a proven track record of being able to engage any form of (project) complexity successfully.
Chris Started as a mechanic on the production line of aircraft manufacturer Fokker at Schiphol, Chris moved to KLM E&M as mechanic on the KDC-10, Airbus A310, DC-10, MD-11, Boeing 747-300/-400, 767-200/-300 , 737NG, and A330 in both Heavy and Line maintenance. Gradually walking the ladder up to the level of (B1) Certifying Staff (Ground Engineer, Testrun license Boeing 737NG) and Category-C Licenced. Following studies in Business Administration (B.Eng.), Logistics (CSCP) and Six Sigma (BB).
In KLM Chris fulfilled multiple roles including ‘Special Projects’, such as (Lease) Transactions, Heavy modification programs and aircraft recovery-management. Following a 3-year career at a Part Distributor, Chris enetered working for SGI a s Marketing & sales Manager for 5 years and is now in the role of VP Technical as he states ‘there where it happens’.
