Francesco Baccarani
VP Technical - Engines
Francesco Baccarani joined SGI in 2008 as a Technical Manager and is specialized in all aspects of engine management. Francesco is based in SGI’s Singapore office. Francesco has over 15 years of airline and aviation experience.
In 2004 Francesco was appointed Powerplant Engineer at Volare Airlines, the second-largest airline in Italy where he managed Engine Troubleshooting and Engine Condition Monitoring. Four years later, Francesco moved to IASG, a consultancy company based in London, as Technical Manager Engine Services. In this latter position, he specialized in the management of the PW4000, CFM56, V2500, CF6-80 and CF34-8 engine models.
Francesco has accumulated experience on most engine types used on today’s commercial aviation aircrafts. Whilst managing the SGI Engine Team, Francesco also takes care of engine redeliveries, engine shop visits management (from workscoping before engine induction up to invoice reviews and claim calculation), pre purchase inspections and supports airlines managing their engine fleet.
